The story so far…
Team Edge was founded by Alex Harris, Joe Boorman and Darasimi Makinde aka Whippet, Shinobi and Phoenix.
Informally, Team Edge has existed for quite a while with just Shinobi and Whippet. The two had attended the same secondary school and constantly performed Parkour feats over the weekend. If we fast foward a bit into 6th form Phoenix moved into the area after the end of his secondary school education and joined the same 6th form college as Shinobi and Whippet. During a basketball game Whippet noticed Phoenix’s Parkour skills and suggested he joined them the next weekend. After a succesful day of Parkour the three decided it would be a good idea to form a group and actively induct anyone and everyone else intrested in the art. Phoenix used his skills as a web designer to put together the website and this is now what you’re enjoying.
We are a group of people who have taken an active interest in the art of Parkour and also Free-Running. We have been inspired by those such as Sebastian Foucan (you may know him from the famous chase scene early in James Bond: Casino Royale) who claims to live at an equlibriam with his environment. We consider our environment as simply a waypoint from one place to another and do our best to get there as efficiently as possible, be it hurdling over obsticles or launching ourselves off them all together. We are not proffesionals but will do our best to constantly train ourselves to one day perform on par with those proffesionals.
