Last weekend the entire team went on a field trip to South Bank, and as usual it was on a special occasion. A few weeks ago I was fortunate to run into Noel Gordon, CEO of an E-Magazine known as The Trusted Beauty Guide. As the title suggests, the organisation is about presenting the readers with numerous ways of keeping fit and looking good! They have a lot of spas spread out all over the UK but don’t take my word for it, there is a link to their website above and I advice you take a look! Over facebook, Noel contacted a friend of mine with the desire to do an article about free running however due to the fact that my friend was more an admire and not so much a practitioner he promptly referred Noel to me, and together we organised to meet up, chat about free running and of course, Free run all around south bank! It was a terrific experience because not only were we able to spend hours doing what we love, we were joined by many free runners resident to South Bank and new friendships were formed. The first part of the article has been posted and can be viewed here. Stay tuned as this is only the first part, the second part will be taking place in a couple weeks back in our home turf! I have done so several times but on behalf of the team I would like to once again thank Trusted Beauty guide for giving us the opportunity to talk about what we love doing!

Team Edge meets The Trusted Beauty Guide!
Album upload – 04/06/09 – The kindness of strangers
Wow, over six months since the last update! As a group we have developed our skills a lot since the last time you saw our pictures. We have also taken on two new members, by the name of Josh aka vortex and James. Josh has MUCH better camera than me and as a result we have managed to take some very breathtaking photographs. I called this album “The kindness of strangers” because while free running a resident of the area who happened to be building a house nearby offered to lend us his crash mat and happily we obliged. That allowed us to practice the Crashdive Flip, a technique we would otherwise not be very enthusiastic to attempt, needless to say this was one of the best weekends we have ever had!
Album upload – 01/11/08 – Abysmal Weather
Due to today’s abysmal english weather and Whippet’s twisted ankle we could not get much done today
We were joined by a friend of whippet who was intrested in learning parkour. Today’s session revolved mainly around tests of balance while at the same time coming up with our signature poses :p Shinobi the ninja, Whippet’s “pondering position” and my… I don’t know lets just call it… yoga? Lol I’m out of ideas. Well lets just hope the weather improves.
Album upload – 18/09/08 – Climbing Walls
Today, Whippet’s little brother came along and we climbed up some flats. After getting to the top we went to the adjacent walkway and hung off the supports. Oh and on the way there we decided to walk ontop of the garajes. Got questioned by a policeman! Don’t worry we weren’t in any trouble he just wanted to know what the heck we were doing up there…, but I digress. After that we went to another part of the area and did some more hanging, climbed up some trees then Shinobi showed me a rather intresting way to climb up walls… well the pictures say it all really. As usual, don’t forget to leave comments!
Album upload – 11/10/08 – The Initiation
This is the first time I did parkour with Whippet and Shinobi. I spent most of the day watching them do some stunts as they taught me the vaults and i consiquently copied a couple of them, this was truly the first time I did conventional parkour. We did alot that day such as climbing flats, jumping off walls twice my size, garages, the works! I suppose you could call this my initiation into the newly formed Team Edge. Below is an image album with pictures from that day, enjoy and don’t forget to leave comments!
